Eddie Potts is both an artist and a decorator who specialises in paint effects.

Eddie was born and bred and still lives in Appleby, England. Although inspired by the wealth of Lakeland artists, he feels more inclined to "home in" on detail within the landscape.

Increasingly drawn towards any subject in a state of disrepair, overgrown or derelict, he finds these subjects have a beauty of colour and texture in their neglect which is often overlooked.

In addition to paintings, Eddie Potts is a professional "paint effects" specialist and is competent in the various techniques this includes, such as colourwashing, marbling, marmarino (both polished and distressed) murals, trompe l'oeil, stencil design and cutting etc.
